Summary: Don't buy it. Once or twice a week, it locks up and can only be restored to operation by removing power and re-booting. The problem is inherent, has existed for a long time, and will never be fixed by Cisco. You can prove this to yourself by a simple web search on "WRP400" - several forum discussions of the problem will appear on the first search page, going back several years. Don't buy it.
Summary: I read the previous review. I'm the second. I've owned many Linksys routers and wireless access points, as well as hubs. This is my favorite so far. It doesn't get released in stores until late summer/early fall 2009. The gentlemen before me wrote about how it's not compatible with Vonage. That's true. BECAUSE it's a VOIP router in itself. I know that it's used by a company called Elevate Comm that launches in April (a month from now). That's how I got it.
Summary: I can't comment on how the product works; I had bought it to use with my Vonage service... only to find that Vonage doesn't work with this router. I found it odd that Linksys customer support (who spent a significant amount of time trying to help me with the problem) was not aware of this. So, I hope this will help prevent others from making the same mistake and having to return the router, as I did.
Summary: Had this for a month now and it's working great! The only thing that it doesn't do is connect with Vonage service (I wanted to replace my 2 units and combine into 1 since they both died around the same time; a power spike may have done them in). Setup was incredibly easy since I learned how to use the software interface in the previous linksys router. I hope this one lasts a long time.
I would look at all options-and ask sales clerks for help

Excerpt: I recently purchased this router, because I purchased a 64 bit computer, and my other router would not withstand it. I got this home and connected it okay, no problems, it connected me xbox360 my wii, but it did not connect my laptop computer, I called the 1-800 number on the enclosed directions, who tried to help me, then they offered to help me for 9.95 even though it was there product and it already cost 100.00, I had spent, I did not want to pay they money, but then...
Excerpt: As I write this review, I'm connected to the internet using a Linksys Cisco Router. I am on my laptop, the router is in another part of the house and I'm having no problems whatsoever. The home computer is connected via ethernet cable, and a Playstation 3 is connected via wi-fi. Everything runs smoothly with no sign of lag. The set up was a breeze, as the computers set up wizard practically did everything itself. Just pop in the cd and follow the pop up instructions.
Excerpt: I have a Cisco Linksys router. I had not thought about buying a router before, I thought they were just for added security, but when I decide to use an extra desktop at home, I started shopping around and around! This router was one of the mid priced routers, but had more features than most and was overall a better value. It was also very easy to hook-up and get started, even if you are not a "tech geek", you will be off and running in minutes!
Lyhnksys cisco router is a wonderful accessory for my laptop.

Excerpt: When I purchased my Hewlett-Packard Pavilion laptop, I needed a way to interface with the internet. I already had a destop computer and it is wonderful. I knew that I required the router so went to Staples to make this purchase. They asked me a lot of questions as is their tendency in order to meet my particular needs. I had questions for them, too. Is this product truly "plug and play?" Can I use it to connect to my printer?
Excerpt: Amazing is all I can say, this router is totally worth it. The cisco router is awesome. I cant stop thinking about the purchase I made. This router can hold up to 50 computers at once and it has a guest setting were your guest can log on and use it privately. Another amazing feature is that this router is very easy to set up. It comes with a USB and you just plug it in and the router sets up by itself.
Summary: This is a good wireless router with 2 phone ports, but unfortunately it is not compatible with the Vonage telephone system so I had to return it and get the D-Link VWR that is made specifically for Vonage. I don't think it is as good a product as the Linksys, but the phone ports wouldn't work. The ethernet and wireless worked flawlessly for the few days that I was trying to figure out some way to make it work with Vonage.
