Given the Manufacturer, VERY poor

Greg Thomas, Amazon
16 December 2013
  • Summary: Having just bought a NAS for backup of my computers, I had requirement for a gigabit-based ADSL router, given I'd used all of the ports on the AirPort Extreme here in the office. Having had a WRT54G several years ago which was rock solid, never needed a reboot, and felt like you could throw it out...

TOTAL RUBBISH

Seta, Amazon
8 August 2013
  • Summary: It broke down after only 14 months, after the warranty period had expired. It looks like both the built in DSL modem and the WiFi transmitter failed at the same time. I'll never again buy anthing with the Linksys or Cisco brands (mine was branded as "Linksys by Cisco").

Dont believe the marketing

BH, Amazon
30 July 2012
  • Summary: Bought this on the strength of online reviews about its capability to connect an external hard-drive directly. Regrettably I should've looked at Amazon Reviews to realise the nature of this Lemon. Sadly, even contacting Cisco's support desk was of no use, so it was returned within hours of arrival.

Very poor

Networkman, Amazon
10 February 2012
  • Summary: This modem router was purchased with a view to improving a basic home network. It failed on a grand scale. Having installed it, the wireless performance gave a lower signal strength and slower connection rate than my old Netgear kit.

Internet Dropouts!

Dave, Amazon
18 November 2011
  • Summary: Thought long and hard about buying this hearing about potential dropouts, but went with it having researched the problems and relating it to ADSL not ADSL2+ lines. Not true. I have ADSL2+ and it stays up for no longer than 12 hours. Only a hard reset will bring it back to life.

Problems with some functions

A. D. Banham "Andy B", Amazon
28 October 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this having only had good previous experience with Linksys ADSL routers. The price for this model was cheaper than the model below this - now I know why! Being an IT professional setting these up is normally a breeze but initial setup was poor as the device fresh out of the box needed a...

Avoid!!!

UCHM, Amazon
30 September 2011
  • Summary: Ordered this in July 2011 with it having gigabit ethernet to replace our BT home hub. By September 2011 it would not hold an internet connection despite going through all the various troubleshooting for it, so all that was left was to have a live chat technical support with linksys/cisco for...

Router defective if you use Access Restrictions

Simon Southford, Amazon
25 September 2011
  • Summary: This is a good router except for the fact that if you use the "access restriction" functionality (e.g. prohibiting certain websites, or limiting access times from certain laptops), it drops its internet connection every night and needed restarting before it will connect again.
