Summary: Bought this on the strength of online reviews about its capability to connect an external hard-drive directly. Regrettably I should've looked at Amazon Reviews to realise the nature of this Lemon. Sadly, even contacting Cisco's support desk was of no use, so it was returned within hours of arrival.
Summary: This modem router was purchased with a view to improving a basic home network. It failed on a grand scale. Having installed it, the wireless performance gave a lower signal strength and slower connection rate than my old Netgear kit.
Summary: I read the reviews and saw it may be a 50/50 gamble...this product woul not dock with windows seven ... computer would not recognise the router ...Sent back to Amazon for a swift refund...would NOT recommend.
Summary: Thought long and hard about buying this hearing about potential dropouts, but went with it having researched the problems and relating it to ADSL not ADSL2+ lines. Not true. I have ADSL2+ and it stays up for no longer than 12 hours. Only a hard reset will bring it back to life.
Summary: I purchased this having only had good previous experience with Linksys ADSL routers. The price for this model was cheaper than the model below this - now I know why! Being an IT professional setting these up is normally a breeze but initial setup was poor as the device fresh out of the box needed a...
Summary: This is a good router except for the fact that if you use the "access restriction" functionality (e.g. prohibiting certain websites, or limiting access times from certain laptops), it drops its internet connection every night and needed restarting before it will connect again.
Summary: My primary reason for purchasing this router was as a replacement for the standard BT issued Access Point and the additional 802.11n capability. I've used the router on and off since its purchase (about 6 months) but have finally dispatched it to the great Access Point graveyard in the sky in sheer...
Summary: I bought this router specifically for the ability to restrict internet access by time for individual devices. The positives: Setup was extremely easy. Could select my ISP from a drop down list and all settings configured correctly. Was up and running in a few minutes.
Summary: Ok, where did my previous lengthy review I submitted go Mr Amazon ?? Only wish I'd read these reviews before buying. This router does not work - plain and simple. I've had months of agro with Cisco and BT pointing the finger at each other and after line tests etc it turns out it it the Router.
Summary: This is my first router from Linksys and my worst router ever. The software on the router is nothing special, standard Linksys I think, all the usual settings, no special functionality. I could live with all this, but my biggest issue with the router is stability, or the lack of it.
