Summary: After moving from cable modem 30Mb service to a DSL 10Mb line I was getting drop outs and buffering fails from my n standard router. As I had increased bandwidth demands (smart TV, smart phones, etc.), the router would lock up and require restarts up to 3 times daily. Consumer Reports rated this Linksys router about third highest. Affordability was the second factor.
Summary: Purchased the Linksys AC1900 after having nothing but problems with a new Belkin AC1750 I had purchased from Walmart. Walmart was great about the return of the Belkin and upon a tech friends advise, purchased the Linksys. Within mins. all my problems were solved. Router stays on without having to be rebooted. My iproducts work great with it. The biggest problem with the Belkin was printing. The Linksys connected within seconds.
Summary: Easiest install of any router to date. From box opening to full install: 15 minutes. Use the easy set up from the Linksys website. Use Cat 6 cables to make sure you are getting the fastest speeds. Especially from modem to router. Signal is strong. App is great, easy to set up and works fine. Product came well packaged, looked brand new and was clean. No issues at all so far.
Summary: Cant complain about thins thing for the price. Thought the range would have been better then the older one I took out, but not much. Even on AC, and with the antennas aimed. AC is is much faster for my cloud transfer on my local network. All in all, happy.
