THE best 450Mbps N router if you have an Intel Centrino 6300 network adapter.

pfeitosa, Amazon
13 November 2014
  • Summary: If you have an Intel Centrino 6300 adapter, the EA4500 is the best 450Mb/s N-band band router, period. Even if you don't, it's still one of the best 300 MB/s routers around. Reasons for the lost star: doesn't have holes on the back to fix it on a wall/ceiling; doesn't allow to be easily set up sideways (vertically, 90°); could have better ventilation.

The instruction disc was easy to follow

Richard Schommer, Amazon
12 September 2014
  • Summary: The unit has been installed and is up and operating. The instruction disc was easy to follow. Since installation I have also learned that I am at the mercy of my dsl provider with regard to download speed, as it is only1.5-ish mbps.

  • Summary: I purchased this router to replace my former Linksys router that would periodically go on the fritz. This is a good router, but not a great one. The features are all I need, but the reception could be better in distant parts of our home (and it's not a mansion). If you are looking for a router with excellent reception, keep looking. Otherwise this router will serve most households quite well. Finally, I bought mine in the store for $10 less than the on-line price.

  • Summary: Trust me, press RESET button first, or you'll get many issues when you start, The router is great but I don't think it's been well refurbished.

Very good coverage

Amazon Customer, Amazon
19 April 2014
  • Summary: This router provides much better coverage than my previous E2000 on the 2.4GHz. Do not expect the 5GHz to go very far though, as it is normal the higher frequency will have shorter coverage. I did not give the router 5 stars because it is somehow not compatible with my HTC One S phone. I opened support cases with both linksys and htc, but neither of them were able to solve the issue. All my other devices worked fine.

Works like it should.

Adam, Amazon
10 April 2014
  • Summary: I was a little skeptical about purchasing a refurbished product but this has given me 0 problems so I am relieved. Interface is different from the older Linksys routers, so it takes some getting used to. Finding the features sometimes requires browsing tabs until you find the setting you're looking for.
