Summary: A family member purchased this router and I'm constantly getting called because their internet stops working. Every time it's because this router has locked up. The plastic case feels very hot, to me. I think it's overheating.
Pros: None, really. If I had to pick one I guess it has brand recognition.
Cons: Overheats. Big-brother cloud software. Unreliable. Constantly needs to be reset.
Summary: Linksys will respond with something pointless below. I have spent hours on phone, chat, email, hold, etc... DO NOT BUY THIS.
Pros: I am in IT and have used LinkSys routers for over 18 years. This router is NOT up to their former 'standards'.
Cons: the first one stopped working altogether 2 months in. Linksys RMA'd it. The new one started dropping connection to cable modem after another 2 months. Sometimes it drops, sometimes it locks up. endless chats to linksys tech support and customer service are pointless. "linksys cares" agent. linksy...
Summary: This is/was my first (and only) refurbished product and my first review. I bought this router because I have a Linksys E3200 and like it very much, so I thought I would try this one for my Mom's house.
Summary: Stay away - It's just not reliable. I read the many mixed reviews and hoped that my experience would be different, but it wasn't. Having used and trusted Cisco/Linksys devices for so long, I hoped this EA3500 would be a worthy replacement for my rock-solid E2500.
Unsatisfactory wifi range; reset button killed it permanently.

Summary: My cheap Medialink MWNWAPR300N router gives good wifi coverage in 90% of my 3-level house. I tried the Linksys in hopes it would cover 100%. It doesn't. Using speedtest.net as my measure, I tested speeds on my desktop (which is wirelessly connected in my office) and my phone (S4) in various...
Summary: I never got to test the performance of this router. I purchased it to attempt to share my laser printer on the local area network. BUT once I installed the Linksys USB sharing application, I discovered that it installed malware on my system.
Summary: Avoid this router. There are much better routers out there. I used to love Linksys. I have several of their older routers and liked them. But now I would advise to avoid Linksys. It is a real shame they've gone down the tubes with this router. Setup should have been easy but it was frustrating.
Worked fine for a year or so and then bandwidth dropped ...

Summary: The router conked off within a year. Worked fine for a year or so and then bandwidth dropped to 7Mbps with both the wire and wireless. Round trip delay through my work VPN went upto 500ms, and working from home became impossible.
Summary: Well after having good Linksys routers over the years I did not think twice about getting a new one after the old one was not going to keep up with newer speeds. I was wrong. I had the cable people out 4 times trying figure out what was wrong with my connection.
Pros: Cannot really say there is.
Cons: It is junk. The interface is overbearing. It will not hold a consistent connection. Internet would drop and drop.
