Excerpt: I must have gotten a bad apple. I have spent greater than 6 hours on the phone with LINKSYS trying to get the wireless connection to stay connected. Finally they had me change channels and it seems to stay connected but there are other problems so they are sending a replacement/refirb model, that I will have to hook up...Technology - can't barely live without it, and it can be so complex.
Excerpt: I recently switched internet service providers. I switched to cable. The company I switched to provided the cable modem only, the WIFI router was my responsibility. On the advice of a friend, I purchase the Linksys EA2700. The setup was easy and it has a nice set of features, but the range is poor. With my old ISP, I used a 2Wire Wireless DSL, it had at least twice the range of this EA2700.
Excerpt: Bought this on promotion. Worked great for a couple weeks, but then failed to recognize any internet signal fed to it. Did significant testing to prove it was the router -- can connect wirelessly to the router, but the router refuses to see an incoming signal even though port lights flash. This is the first time I've had a problem with a Linksys product; I'm hoping I just got a dud. Will be returning for exchange.
Summary: I had a linksys router that was 7years old and need to upgrade, so I got this one. It was able to pick up a signal in the house well. The only problem is, it will only connect 1 Xbox to Xbox Live at time. I tried it with 3 Xbox's and only 1 would connect at a time. I can say the support Cisco gave me while we figured out what was going was EXCELLENT.
Summary: Bad parental control, even when you block your kids, they still manage to go on it. shows wifi but doesn't connect. Device list is (messed) up, it shows devices as connected while they are turned off or outside the house, or it shows multiples for the same device. unexpected Error massage comes out when you try to change controls. You have to factory reset and reinstall oherwise won't work.
