Has broken down 5 times since purchase

pfalcon, Staples
18 December 2014
  • Summary: Wouldn't recommend this router. Wish we had gone with a pricier one. Perhaps you do end up "getting what you pay for." Others had recommended a more expensive model at another store, but we opted for this one due to the price and convenience. Wish we had gone elsewhere.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Ban

Helene C. Therriault, Staples
10 October 2014
  • Summary: So far I have not been able to get this router to work as it should. I'm not able to connect the laptop or the iPad...no Wi-Fi accessibility. There are no written instructions that came with the router and the CD -DVD will not go on a second time. So, I'm stuck.

Poor overall performance

Jonathan S., Amazon
26 September 2014
  • Summary: I had new FIOS installed and went through three routers until I found one (Apple Airport Extreme) that netted me my 50 mbps / 50 mbps. The N600+ resulted in 50% of that. These were the results by channel on 5 ghz: 36 = 25 mbps 40 = 25 mbps 44 = 11 mbps 48 = 3 mbps 149 = 11 mbps 153 = 27 mbps 157 =...

Very Poor Wireless Range

Charlie, Staples
8 June 2014
  • Summary: The title pretty much says it all. I have a 1250 square foot house and my neighbors signal is better than what this router has at 30 feet away. Don't waste your money. Get the EA3500, or the EA4500 and you'll be happy.

Decent Router with poor range.

A Reviewer, Linksys
18 April 2014
  • Excerpt: The EA2700 is a decent router but has poor range. Very week signal to the second floor bedrooms. I bought the Linksys RE2000 Range Extender to help with poor signal. Don't do this! Though it helped with extending the range, it kept creating one IP address for most of my devices.

Absolute Garbage - Do NOT buy this junk

Paul, Staples
18 April 2014
  • Summary: My old Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GL routers work perfectly with static IPs on everything on my LAN, but I wanted gigabit ethernet between computers, so I bought a Linksys EA2700 which has a 4 port gigabit switch in it. The first one worked for a year then quit working.
