Summary: What a POS !!! Right out of the box I was unable to connect to it using the enclosed setup CD. I used my desktop computer to connect to the EA2700 via one of its LAN ports and connected it to my network via the yellow Internet port.
Summary: This unit might be one of the worst routers i have purchased. It overheats so badly that is damaged the top of my speaker where its mounted. It also suffers from issues where the router would need to be restarted because it has lost connection.
Excerpt: Purchased the wireless router the week before Thanksgiving 2014 and December 24 it would not work. Tried all the resets and talking with the company and still could not connect to the internet.
Summary: I was afraid when Belkins purchased the Linksys line from Cisco that quality would deteriorate.....and those fears are coming true. I purchase and install about 25 wireless routers a year and install them for residential customers.
Excerpt: Wouldn't recommend this router. Wish we had gone with a pricier one. Perhaps you do end up "getting what you pay for." Others had recommended a more expensive model at another store, but we opted for this one due to the price and convenience. Wish we had gone elsewhere.
Excerpt: This router and beem problemmatic from day one. The origianl set up with password were wiped out on a required reset. The system disk would not alow a reinstall. The router now defaults to its Cisco model number.
Summary: UPDATE: The replacement router that Linksys sent me (which was brand new in box and not refurbished) died after about 4 months. No warranty on the replacement unit, so I had to buy another router. After a lot of research I picked the which has been performing fabulously.
