Major speed degradation over WiFi and useless tech suport

Summary: I am experiencing major speed degradation using this router. I've tried it on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and both perform poorly. Contacted technical support. First it took weeks to arrange a troubleshooting session. Finally when it happened, the tech wasted 2 hrs of my time shooting in the dark. Final verdict - there is an issue with my router and I should buy a new one because my warranty expired. Needless to say, the new one will not be a Linksys product.
Summary: I am not a fan of this router at all. I returned it and went with an Asus RT-N53. This router took a while to set up, the web browser interface is slow. Linksys pretty much won't give you any support unless you install it using their CD. Unfortunately, the software wasn't compatible with the latest version of OS X Maverick. This router kept dropping the wifi signal. I did try to adjust the settings to fix the issue.
Summary: I spent all day on this. I couldn't get it to connect long enough to configure. Support was a joke. The brand label is Linksys, which I've always had good luck with, but when I tried to get support I was taken to Cisco, and then to Belkin. I honestly don't know who made it, Linksys, Cisco, or Belkin. (perhaps neither!) I've always had trouble with Belkin products and sure enough I couldn't easily get web support on this.
Summary: Stopped working the day after we plugged it in, but when we called Linksys they claimed the warranty ended eight months BEFORE we bought it. After arguing with the "customer service" rep for ten minutes, and searching frantically for the packing receipt, we finally convinced them we'd only bought it three days before. They finally helped us get it to connect properly, but advised us that the product only has a three month warranty.
Summary: Hopefully one of the few defective units. Replaced by manufacturer (took about 3 weeks). Probably would have been better off returning to Amazon. Replacement worked perfectly; an improvement over the Cisco M20 Valet it replaced.
