Excerpt: I looked at many brands in many price ranges over the period of about a month . First "certainty" I established was that I wanted a @Linksys. because I decided it would be the best match for my I.P.'s @Cisco/ Linksys. modem. And they work together perfectly. The software is a smooth, easy, informative installation too. I was very happy to save money buying a factory re-furbished model because I knew I could trust the work of the company.

Summary: Like another reviewer posted, it connected wirelessly only to one laptop, the other laptop had to be connected with a LAN cable. The one laptop I was able to connect wirelessly only showed 4 bars at all times and mind you this was not just a visual deficiency, I experienced slower internet speeds as well. After about a month of disappointing use, I just unplugged it and went back to my 10 year old D-LINK router which is still a work horse compared to this new router.
Excerpt: I have been using the E2000 router with a G5 Power PC for some time, and found it very easy to install. After I upgraded to an Intel based iMac I found that the E2000 would not work and no upgraded software was offered. Consequently I purchased the E2500, which has proved to be as easy to install and has performed very well.
