Summary: It works very well when only a couple of devices are using the wireless router. When there are multiple devices it will start to become slow and will start to lag. Overall, it was a good price for a decent product.
Summary: the E1000 is a very decent router for it's price range. Though it's considered by most as a low-end router (often sold in stores really cheap as refirbished), it has good range, produces low heat (rare for this particular design due to the case not having much room inside), and solid throughput rates.
Summary: like it its greattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
Summary: Product allows faster downloading of netflix than previous wireless router Had to change some settings so iPhones could connect Sony DVD player and Netflicks connected fine but still cannot get my laptop to connect Tried to use a flashdrive to set up for laptop but get error messages
Summary: Instructions are junk, and the included disc for "easy setup" failed constantly. No where does it give the IP to manually configure the device, and the website's help pretty much just gives you the same crummy "easy configure" application to run. How about just tell me the IP, default account/password, and let me go on from there.
Pros: Not one piece of evidence that this is a Refurb. Looks just like you pulled it of the shelf new; packaging and everything.
Summary: The best comment tht I can say about this router is the excellent value for the money. I recently installed cable internet and needed a router to avoid paying for the rent of a router. The price for this Linksys router is excellent and will pay itself in about 4 months vs the cost of renting. Also, the brand name help me decide to buy it as it has a good reputation for quality and support.
Good Router for the money...if you are not using OS 5 Mac Lion
7 February 2012
Summary: Great little router, but beware if you are using OS 5 (Mac Lion operating system) the routers set up system doesn not configure to it. This means you will not have a guest-network, some of the other features may have difficulties. But if you are using a PC, this if a very good for your budget router.
Summary: I needed a low cost solution, I've had good experience with Linksys in the past, and have owned an E1000 before. I bought two of them, one to use as a main router, and the other to use as a wireless repeater/adapter. I was able to get that setup without a problem using DD-WRT. (which installed without a hitch on both.
Summary: Overall good router if you live in small apt. Works great so far. Streams hd movies from pc(wireless) to ps3(wired) with no problems. Good for the price as well. Would recommend it for an apt.
Pros: Cheap and easy to install
Cons: Coverage area not as big. Not good for multiple level houses.
