Summary: It works very well when only a couple of devices are using the wireless router. When there are multiple devices it will start to become slow and will start to lag. Overall, it was a good price for a decent product.
Summary: I had some major problems when I first got this router and the WiFi capability was completely erratic. Cisco actually responded to my negative review with some very helpful information to get the router working properly again. I followed their advice and I now have a great working router. I have to say now that it's a great router and the online support I got from Cisco was excellent.
Summary: the E1000 is a very decent router for it's price range. Though it's considered by most as a low-end router (often sold in stores really cheap as refirbished), it has good range, produces low heat (rare for this particular design due to the case not having much room inside), and solid throughput rates.
Summary: I'm an OSX snow leopard user who needed a router for my dorm room. In this application the router is perfect! I have been using it for 2 weeks with no performance issues whatsoever (of course I do live in a very small open space). Other devices connect with ease although I have not tried using a wireless printer or transferring files between devices on the network.
Summary: This router came well packed with all the necessary items (cords, software, instructions). It worked right out of the box. I did have to do a reset and upgrade the firmware. Otherwise, not much time spent on a great product.
Summary: like it its greattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
Summary: Pros -price -refurbished but it was in original sealed packaging. -fast -Easy set up for an average person who knows how home networks work Cons -None so far -My only concern is longevity. My previous wireless G router was a linksys and that lasted 5 years. I only upgraded to this because I wanted wireless N.
Summary: Product allows faster downloading of netflix than previous wireless router Had to change some settings so iPhones could connect Sony DVD player and Netflicks connected fine but still cannot get my laptop to connect Tried to use a flashdrive to set up for laptop but get error messages
Summary: Just as a router this thing rocks, but if you are buying it for dd-wrt do not buy this yet. They are version 2.1 now and are not supported yet. EDIT: I have just been informed of where to find the appropriate firmware sorry, that was just my own fault that I missed it. Here is the link([...]) P.S.
Summary: i think the router does its job just fine but a heads up to all mac users planing to buy it i am just letting you know that its software is not compatible with mac os x lion. i set it up on my mac by not using the software but directly accessing the router via the browser when it is connected to the laptop via the ethernet cable. I would suggest you buy the product if u understood what i was talking about before and all you windows users go right ahead and buy it.
