Conclusion: This is as basic as an N router can get. If you are looking to wirelessly connect a single machine and have no need for Gigabit Ethernet or the 5-GHz band, it's not a terrible option for the price. But even for a cheap router, we'd like to see better throughput at distance.
Pros: Bargain-priced "N" Router. Easy setup with Cisco Connect software. Throughput on a par with other routers in its class.
Cons: Single band. No support for Gigabit Ethernet. Doesn't keep consistent performance at greater distances.

Good Gear Guide.au
21 November 2010
Summary: The Linksys E1000 performed well in our tests and it's suitable for users who have never set up a router before -- its Cisco Connect software does all the hard work for you. However, using Cisco Connect means you can't access the router's Web interface and more advanced features.
Pros: Good performance, stylish, URL and keyword filtering for protective parents
Cons: Cisco Connect software locks you out of the Web interface
Summary: The E1000 is a good option for those in need of a basic router. It’s a great product for your small home or apartment and does a good job for its price. The Cisco Linksys is available for Rs.5,999 and comes with a one year warranty.
