Summary: Set up went horribly for this unit. The CD that came with the unit had the setup instructions in Arabic, so I had to download them off the internet. Still took a week and a half to get the unit to work properly, and it required changing registry files on my computer.
USB CONNECTIONS were USB-2 and NOT USB-3. Router was a Version 1 and Note Version 2

Summary: On 8/2/15 I purchased the Linksys EA6500 router. The WEB site described it as a VERSION 2 (two) model AC router with two USB connections. The pictures on the WEB site, when enlarged, clearly indicated two USB-3 connections as they were both blue in color indicating USB-3.
Summary: It fried. Writing this on a desktop that is connected directly to the modem. Ran software check - it doesn't even do that. Impossible to tell why it fried. It lasted only a few months. Never again. Phone support did not exist. Published numbers have been changed. Stay from Linksys.
Summary: I did not have so much luck with the refurbished product, linksys tried to get it up and going with no luck either, offered to sale me a brand new ea6500 for 80 dollars. I passed just on the fact that if a 10 month old router has problems alrwady then, why bother.
Summary: Four months in and already starting to show issues where my PC doesn't have internet when I turn on the computer a couple of times a week. I then have to reboot the the Linksys and its back up again. But I worry that its already starting to fail.
Summary: This product was a nightmare to configure, and after configuring it, it's limited. You can't use no-ip.com to configure dynamic DNS, it only allows DynDNS. Documentation is really annoying and unaccurate. Do not bother with this.
I have a 1200 sqft home and let me tell you that signal is horrible! The six antennas may as well be 1

Summary: I should have paid attention to all the reviews about this router, but chose to not do so because refurbished products are usually put under more testing that normal manufactured items. I have a 1200 sqft home and let me tell you that signal is horrible!
Summary: I purchased this router years ago when it was new to market. At that time, I was a Linksys fan and considered Linksys top of line. I'll give this router 2 stars because it has performed basic routing functions well, but problems arise when you try to use the parental controls.
