High quality at excellent price

wolfchen, Amazon

  • Summary: This LevelOne GSW-0807 8-port gigabit switch is silent and fast...all at an excellent price...assuming that it has a long life-span. The vendor delivered the product promptly and in excellent condition. Top quality all around. Yes, I'd recommend this product and vender.

Best unmanaged GBE switch I have in my network

S. Mitra, Amazon

  • Summary: Looks good, but does not have the solid feel I had expected. The wall mount screws goes on the underside of the unit, which is impractical since mounting it that way the port status lights are not visible.

Works for me

David Devonick, Amazon
  • Summary: I bought 2 of these switches so that I could get my family room devices (Blu Ray player, TV, HT Receiver, Media Player) all cookin' on a hard-wired lan. Even though none of these devices are capable of 1GB it makes no sense to invest in 100mb switches. I installed one switch upstairs coming off the router in my office (FIOS router with a built-in 100mb switch) , and cascaded the second switch about 60' away downstairs into the family room.

  • Summary: i needed more Ethernet ports. I purchased and hooked up. It didn't really seem to work as good as the Netgear one so I swapped it out. Not sure if this is much help.

OK for desktop switch

William S., Newegg
30 July 2014
  • Pros: Inexpensive switch that will enable gigabit transfers. It has key holes on the back for mounting with Pan Head screws,
  • Cons: I found my self powercylcing this switch once a month after the first year. Now I am cycling it every day. To bad I didn't get extended support

No issues, set it and forget it!!

Leon B., Newegg
13 November 2013
  • Pros: Looks nice and works great. Set up on TV stand behind TV. Use all ports. Game, stream and download, sometimes heavily all at once, with no issues. Set it and forget it. Just clean dust from it every so often.
  • Cons: Made from plastic. Aluminum/metal would have been nice, especially in this color scheme.

Good value, DOA unfortunately

Austin S., Newegg
3 July 2013
  • Summary: Probably would buy again as others have had good luck with this including a friend of mine. Hoping the next one is solid!
  • Pros: -Cheap -Low power usage -Small amount of heat -Small footprint
  • Cons: Unfortunately, I got a DOA device which I'm currently RMA'ing through Newegg now. I can't rate this otherwise for quality due to this but the device never worked from the get-go. Plugged it in to multiple routers/switches/computers, multiple cables and multiple outlets without any luck on getting the interfaces to connect. I don't believe a 1 star is fair due to being a DOA so 2 will be the judgement here.
