  • Summary: Newegg Refund RMA approved, but it's going to cost me approximately $14.00 to send this kit back. Cost initially was $52.99 + $3.99 S&H. Total cost: $56.98 ( - $14.00 for return) Refund: $42.98.
  • Pros: Typical Newegg delivery, The HDMI Switching kit did work with DirectV Satellite Receiver/dvr as well as a Sony Blu-Ray/Dvd player. It's a nice sale feature that IOGEAR includes good, high quality HDMI cables and a power adapter with this product. Why 3 eggs you may ask? Newegg prices and dependab...
  • Cons: Not sure if it wasn't a case of, "just my turn to get a lemon," but the pass through signal clarity was very disappointing. Visible grid ### <- best keyboard representation I can come up with, especially visible in on screen text. Color, clarity, vibrancy just weren't there as opposed to the prev...

Great device

Jonathan C., Newegg
4 January 2012
  • Summary: Would like to see an auto selector (automatically switches to the most recently powered on device). Not a deal breaker though. I've seen this on cheaper Universal switches.
  • Pros: 4 inputs for multiple devices. Comes with all necessary cables (that are protected). Remote and push button input selection. Switch times are relatively quick. I have an XBOX 360, and Blu-Ray player using this switch. I'll be adding the Wii to it once I get the cable for it. Works well. No major ...
  • Cons: I got an extra cable (15 ft) from another company and the input wouldn't display on the TV through the switch while using this cable. The other cable worked normally when plugged directly into the TV. Not sure if it was the cable or the device.

Not sure whether to return this or not

Thomas P., Newegg
6 December 2011
  • Summary: I am buying two new cables just incase it is a cabling issue.
  • Pros: Small, comes with remote and is easy to operate/setup
  • Cons: Claims to be HDCP certified but my playstation 3 is giving invalid format error when attempting to go through this device. I reset the resolution settings on my playstation and could see it until the HDCP turned on (assuming this happens after setting its resolution, etc). My tv is an LG and I ca...

HDMI Switch

Adam D., Newegg
4 November 2011
  • Pros: 4 HDMI inputs, 1 HDMI output. Switches inputs well with the included remote as well as button located on the front. Front lights show which input is selected. Like the fact that it is not autoswitching and requires manual input changes.
  • Cons: None

User Review

Andrew K., Newegg
17 October 2011
  • Pros: Easy to switch and setup with my logitech universal remote. Easy to switch the previous programming of the remote to a new set with the switch included.
  • Cons: Stopped working with my tv recently. Originally functioned fine. Now when running the DVR through it the screen flickers and most recently has just not been allowing any signal through from the tv. When iogear was queried about such a problem the response was that I needed to buy a generic power ...
