Summary: this device is working really well for me in Afghanistan. A couple notes on using this hotspot... you have to be connected through the hotspot to the provider in order to access the internal settings/controls, so if you get this before you head downrange, you can't configure it until you get on the outside network (i.e. Asiacell, Roshan, MTN, Etisalat, Iraqna).
does what is said to do but slow - not sure is the carrier or this product

Summary: it is a nice little product - compact and nice looking. I tested with the Speakout Unlimited Web Browsing "data" plan, the model connect to the carrier through the SIM, and the WiFi signal is strong up to 7-8 meters. But the browsing speed is very slow. However, I have to admit that this "data" plan is not a real data plan, the slow speed may be due to the carrier's limited open ports. I have not get a chance to test on a real data plan yet.
Very functional very effective, battery life a bit low.

Summary: We live in Africa where internet is difficult at the best times. I got this little guy with not a lot of hopes and it has been a champion at our place. I went from struggling with our data network to really fast wireless. It is really effective at getting us fast internet and it projects really far. The only limitation is that the battery didn't last long. After a month it started dying earlier and earlier.
Summary: could be improved with more detailed instructions. have been able to use cell network to access the internet on my tablet but still trying to find out how to dial out on tablet over cell network.
Summary: I used this device on a trip to Slovakia over the holidays. Thanks to a great deal from o2.sk, I got a data SIM that provided 1Gb of data for about EUR 8, with the first two weeks free (and unlimited). I did have to create an APN profile for the carrier, but otherwise the device worked really well. The original shipping estimate was several weeks or a month, but in the end I got the device within a few weeks. Well worth it.
Summary: This solved a problem for me, ideal for letting people share your 3G connection, or when travelling, you don't have to rely on a hotel wi-fi etc, I use a different network in this than my mobile phone, so I can get the best signal when I need to. The device itself is very easy to use and manage, has a lot of features and the signal is very strong, to be honest it is as good as my BT home hub.
