Summary: I've been using this router in a cascade with my main (and much more expensive) router. It has worked flawlessy, but recently my main router took a dive, and the Engenius ESR300 took it's place during the RMA process. All I can say is WOW. I've been through dozens of routers, but the throughput, and stability of this little router are AWESOME.
Pros: - Very stable both wired and wireless - MUCH better than it's price suggests - A plethora of features you just don't find at this price
Summary: Looking at the intinal price of 29.99 this is a great starter router. Compareable to a linkseys wgt54. I went thru the wizard to setup and really didnt mind i was looking at it the way a first time user would. You dont have to know much as it walks you thru eash aspect of it. My speeds are 30Mbps down and 7 Mbps up and i saw close to that speed over a wired connection. From both laptops i was able to watch streaming tv shows at about 75 feet away thru a few walls.
Pros: I liked the intinal setup wizard it made it easy to setup. 4 ports like most routers USB connector for easy transfer files from anywhere.
Summary: Other than not being Prime Eligible, I have no complaints with this router. The router homepage layout is very intuitive and easy to work with. The dual broad band is rather handy. I have my main computers setup in the 5ghz signal while the cellphones and other small network devices are on the 2.4ghz. So far, there have been signal drops or need for resets.
Summary: Our company uses Engenius routers for their range due to high power and we find them a great value. Small size is also a good feature. this model allow 4 SSIDs for guest access and we've tested Internet speed over 70 Mbps. We have installed nearly 1000 Engenius routers.
Summary: I am quickly becoming a big fan of Engenuis. My first exposure to them was when I need to replace a wireless access point in our office. I was looking at the EAP-9550. I had a presales question so I decided to call them. I was talking to a live person based in the USA within 20 seconds. I had a follow up question when I was installing the router and again received great service. When it came time to upgrade my router at home I did not hesitate to buy Engenius.
Summary: I've been installing wireless routers for over 10 years. I started using these Engenius routers about a year ago and won't install anything else unless I find something in the future. Using these 600's for wall or desk mounted units and using the ceiling mounted PoE's you can't go wrong. Great throughput Great range Gigabit switch Exernal antenna(can be swapped out for bigger gain antennas) Solid GUI Good Features The only Con I've run into is the VPN side.
