Summary: The EnGenius ERB 9250 Range is Extender was a waste of time and money. I tried several unseccessful attempts to get this range extender to work with my router and after calling their piss poor customer service got nowhere!!!!!!! I even called Comcast who I have my router with and they couldn't help me.
Summary: Bought this early December and have been using this product a little over 2 months. --The Setup-- Personally I do not think the 'initial' setup for this wireless extender was difficult at all. (I am a bit biased though as I have no problems setting up routers.) All that I needed to do was to plug in my laptop to the wireless extender with the small Ethernet cable it came with and popped in the CD it also came with.
Summary: I have several wireless "holes" in my house due to ... whatever causes them (construction, metal in the ceiling & walls ... gremlins ... who knows, but they are there). This solved that problem, especially where I couldn't run additional cabling and set up a 2nd router as another access point. That is the beauty of the wireless repeater --- no cables needed.
Product Didn't Connect and Horrible Customer Service

Summary: If you have a 2Wire 3800 HGV-B, don't get this extender, because it won't work. After spending hours on the setup, trying to get it to work, I couldn't connect. So, I called customer service, and it was atrocious. I couldn't talk to a person; I was repeatedly connected to someone's voicemail. Ridiculous. Finally, I bought the Netgear extender, and it worked perfectly.
Summary: I purchased this product to bridge the connectivity between my modem and our second floor rooms and den located at the front of our home. After reading previous reviews I thought that set-up would be difficult but having followed the directions for set-up utilizing the CD-ROM I found that the process was extremely easy. I put the disk in one of our laptops and pressed the required button on my modem and the range extender communicated with the modem and I was done.
Summary: I was a bit concerned about setting up the EnGenius ERB9250 as I'm now on my 2nd Wi-Fi extender -- the first (a NetGear WN2000RPT) was a bear to set-up and then never ran correctly. It would extend my Wi-Fi signal and then suddenly lose it -- I'd have to power cycle the unit nearly once a day!).
Summary: The trick to using this product is to find the spot where your router's signal is at about 50%,as it will only repeat as good of a signal as it can receive. I used a free program called inSSIDer and my laptop to find that spot, and then to ensure that the repeated signal was strong enough at the spot where I was trying to get good signal. You can see the graph from inSSIDer of the end result in the gallery.

Summary: EnGenius ERB 9250 Range Expander I feel it is necessary to give my review on the EnGenius ERB9250 2.4 GHZ 300 Mbps Wireless N Range Extender to help others like myself with bad wireless connections. 03-15-2011-update My Linksys WRT600N router blew the 2.4 Ghz circuit (5-6 years old), the 5.0 Ghz remained, but this is the signal that doesn't penetrate walls. I now have a new EnGenius ESR 9855G Wireless N, 2.4 Ghtz-only router. This is working fine.
Great device, manual setup mode could use improvement

Summary: Great practical device. Nice for enabling ethernet printers & other hardwired devices to be wireless. I also like that I can later add a network switch to allow multiple devices to be chained off the single port in the back of the wireless repeater. Note on setup: My router didn't have WPS, so I needed to do the manual setup. After getting out a magnifying glass the setup instructions were fine.
