  • Summary: Other than the connection issue I love this product.
  • Pros: My internet speeds are much faster than before and downloads are very quick. In my opinion it' s worth the price.
  • Cons: Had a little troublt the first couple of weeks I had it. For some reason my connection wouldn't connect correctly the first several weeks when the computer would restart. I would have to turn off the adapter in device manager and then re enable it and only then would it get the connection. This h...

Ok

  • Pros: Good value for N card. Fast shipping.
  • Cons: -My router (linksys 120n) had to be set on WPA encryption only for card to work, would not work on any other encryption. -Range is very average and signal drops off intermittently -Was only able to get 300mbs very briefly and connects most of the time at 150mbs.

  • Summary: all in all, great buy. have not had a major problem.
  • Pros: Windows 7 ultimate recognized it immediately and had a driver update for it. considerable update from internal wireless g.
  • Cons: seems like my router posts speeds of only 54mpbs, but that may be because of the g devices on the network. seems when the sgnal is extremely low it makes the ui skip around alot.

Very good

Norman S., Newegg
24 March 2009
  • Pros: Works great, but signal does very a little, but I was expecting this to happen due to router being in the basement. The drivers provided with the adapter worked great. When doing updates windows found some driver updates for this card. Either way the adapter works great. Would recommend this adap...

4 December 2008
  • Summary: with aftermarket 7dbi antennas this card will have connection speeds higher than possible before at long distances. in a 12,000 sqft house i am able to get 5mb/s transfer rates where a 802.11g card could not even connect reliably to my wireless router.
  • Pros: once you locate an updated generic driver for the chipset it is very fast and has awesome range.
  • Cons: supplied drivers didn't work very well in vista 32 or 64

Decent Wifi-N Card for the money

Anonymous, Newegg
30 September 2008
  • Summary: I bought the PCI version of this and it connects at 300MBs (item# N82E16833180052) with NO PROBLEMS. I am using the BELKIN F5D8233-4 Wifi N router and a Lenovo T60P laptop.
  • Pros: Wifi N PC Card at only $29 with free shipping. The top of the PC card is "thin" making it look good in the laptop. Decent name brand.
  • Cons: Only connects at 144Mbs instead of 300MBs. Updating the drivers did not help. I even put my laptop beside my router and that did not help. Very disappointed. I will continue to fiddle with it and see of I can get 300MBs out of it otherwise, I will have to purchase something better.

Good product...would buy again

Mr. R., Newegg
27 September 2008
  • Summary: Installation was a breeze; insert disc, follow the screen prompts, insert the card, voila! Wireless utility is straightforward. Windows update immediately found an update to the driver provided on the disc.
  • Pros: As its box advertises: Greater bandwidth, advanced security, easy installation, improved wireless reception, and interoperability. Second encore wireless product on my network--I like them both. Works nicely with Belkin N1 router. Long-time NewEgg'er...once again, New Egg's selection, price and p...
  • Cons: Range is fair. Signal strength/quality in the same room as the router (12'x14' room) is 100%. In the rooms immediately above and below the router, signal strength/quality is 92-96%. The strength/quality deteriorates quickly beyond these rooms; about 15-20% less than the other wireless devices (6 ...
