Summary: its now sitting in my closet hoping the next firmware update (if there is one) will solve this issue
Pros: easy setup for wireless, good wireless N range and speed
Cons: i dont have cable tv so i stream a lot, this thing cannot handle streams at all, hulu, history.com aetv.com any site it lags out in the middle of streaming, if you open another tab while the stream lags out the connection is not out but somehow the stream is still "buffering". this happens both wired and wireless.
Summary: I'm returning this; it so did NOT improve what most reviewers said it would, despite my best, many-hours efforts and advice from an IT manager of a huge campus. My WRT545G only got slow & weak sometimes, never dropped anything but Roku - & that, rarely.
Pros: Stronger connection for an iPad1
Cons: *Daily,* total dropouts; slower for Lenovo X200s; no faster than 54Mbps; Roku Model N1000 cannot connect to it.
Summary: I bought this as a possible replacement for a BT Home Hub. I suppose, at the price, I shouldn't have expected much. The product is reasonable value, but not one that I could recommend unless you are really short of cash. Problems? Firstly, the user interface is awful. It's not immediately obvious how to do anything with this router. Almost every operation seems to involve digging into the menus and hunting around.
