Summary: I gonna try contacting them to see how good their customer service is. I will try to post the update.
Pros: It worked out of the box well
Cons: I configured everything for a client and everything worked great. I put it back in the box to setup at a later date. Took it out of the box and could not get it to broadcast a signal to connect to. I spent hours trying to get it to work with no luck. Took it home to work on it more. NOT GOOD. Worst of all I bought it for the client and now have to replace it because it never worked for them.
Cons: This router needs constant attention to maintain internet connectivity, even when hard-wired. The WiFi is worthless. House-guests don't even bother using it over their cell service, it's too spotty and slow. Maybe there are tweaks or settings I can do to make it right. But I'm not a CCNA, I expect this to work at full potential out of the box. Nobody buys a budget router to tweak it. It should just work, and this one simply doesn't.
Cons: Received today after five days waiting. Surprisingly it is a dead one. Wired connection did not working. I tried two laptops and three wires (including one came with product). But I still had no luck on trying to connect internet using wired connections. Will call technical support tomorrow and then will return it. For now I have to put back my old TRENDnet router. It is such disappointment.
Summary: The router lost signal frequently. I updated firmware, set the mac filtering and did all other recommendation but still I have the same problem. Stay away the product. Go with reliable one and don't get headache...
Cons: First off, it took about 30 minutes to get this thing to establish a connection between my modem and computer, in which it didn't get a constant signal through a direct Ethernet connection. When it did work, the wireless part suffered about 10% packet loss consistently. Occasionally it would stop working altogether and you would have to unplug it for 30 seconds and reset it that way to get it to respond again. RMA'd and have to pay 1/2 of what I paid for this junk of ...
Summary: Take your money elsewhere, get a Netgear or Lynksys, DO NOT let a discount lure you in, it's NOT worth it!
Pros: Works Great out of the box Descent range Cheap
Cons: Stops working intermittently, you'll have to perform a factory reset to get it going again. I've owned SEVERAL routers in my life and I've never had the issues I have with this one, it will randomly just decide it's not going to allow access to anything on the network anymore. Tried tweaking every setting it has on it to no avail.
Summary: I ended up tossing it in the trash, 1) I am not paying return shipping, and 2) if a company would run a wire like that to save a single penny then I can't see them going through the trouble to fix it right. This is a very easy fix for the entire line, route the antenna wire from the side of the IC board, around the edge then to the back and not over the top. It will mean using more wire, but it will not be cut.
Cons: I can't give this a -5 Star rating, I can only go as low as +1. This was the worst router I have ever owned. It dropped its connection ALL the time. It took me nearly an hour to set it up, why? Because its menu layout is....---illogical. Since I install and setup routers and software all the time I expect menus to be the same basic layout. It is difficult to explain but it is like they WANTED to be so different that it was just a frustration to mess with. What is wors...
