  • Summary: My review was going to be bad since I wasted my time buying this. But Walmart won't take a bad review and instead "cancelled me out" by saying all the review names I might chose were "already taken" So even this review process, like so many things in life, Caviet Emptor.

  • Summary: This product does work, however for some reason I have to manually connect to the internet everytime I turn my computer on. I have continuously reset the product and unattached and reattached the coaxial wire when the problem occurs in addition to consulting the problem solving application on the computer to change the settings so it will automatically connect to the internet.

  • Summary: Edimax provides excellent docutmentation to help neophytes to use their router. The router itself is not robust for constant use, since frequent dropouts frustrate the user.

  • Summary: Setting up the router took about 30 seconds if you read the instructions. Setting up the computers new connection was a problem, but it worked itself out and it had nothing to do with the router. That worked fine the whole time. Well worth the minimal expense. Although I haven't tried it with Roku yet (b/c I don't have it yet), but I don't anticipate any problems when I get it.

  • Summary: I dread calling tech support since so many of the "techs" there were working fast food a couple of weeks ago. Edimax seems to have gotten it right.
  • Pros: Tech support! I usually can figure out how to configure routers myself, but I wanted to use this as an bridge without the wireless repeater function so I called tech support. GREAT. The tech understood exactly what I wanted and knew exaclty how to configure it. I have two isp's and two separate networks so its somewhat complicated, yet the tech knew exactly what to do.
  • Cons: None that I can see.

Versatile router

  • Pros: This little router can serve many roles. I have used it as a wireless extender, as well as a second wireless access point.
  • Cons: The setup seems to take a little while to get recognized. Once it is set, it works great.

Flaky so far

Mark C., Newegg

  • Summary: Also sucks that I missed the 20% off promo, but frankly based on this experience I don't know if I'd buy again vs. a more well known brand like ASUS.
  • Pros: Universal repeater function
  • Cons: For the record I've owned this router exactly a month.

  • Summary: I purchased this router to replace a NetGear that kept dropping my connection at least 2 x's a day. The only negative is that instructions are not the best, however, I have read other web sites that state their customer service is great and will walk you through your installation. I'm not an expert by any means and was able to install it myself in about 15 minutes, but f you are a little tech savvy you will have no problems setting this up.
