Summary: Unfortunately, this router suffers from intermittent lapses in broadcast. I have not had a problem with the hard wired desktop attached to it but the wireless cuts out when using my laptop and Roku player. Both are stationary and all are in the same room as the router. Online and phone support were great but could not fix the problem. Went with a N300 Belkin for ten dollars more and have had no issues. You get what you pay for sometimes.
Summary: The unit worked well for 3 weeks, then it failed. So sad :( Hardware setup was simple. Configuring the router was more difficult. The CD didn't work for me, so I used the Web-based configuration utility, guided by the manual on the CD. BTW, my OS is Win XP SP-3 PROBLEM: I could not connect to my router's web page, even though the hardware was set up correctly. My router's IP address is [...] (from the bottom of the unit).
Summary: I have been wrestling with this DIR-601 for about 6 months now. I have moved it all over the house to try to improve signal strength and yet I still get multiple drops on a daily basis. We have 3 computers and a squeezebox all running off of it and unless we are in the same room it seems to hang and drop connection. The squeezebox seems to be better now that I have given it a big buffer.
Think twice before purchasing a refurbished item from this seller.

Summary: This was a horrible purchase that ended up being a return. I've purchased refurbished electronics before and never had an issue. This item was missing the power supply and still had the return sticker on it saying why it was originally returned. I have a hard time believing anything was even done with this other than shipped out again after the original return. Don't think I'll be purchasing anymore refurbished electronics from Amazon.
Summary: What a piece of junk! Couldn't get it to work and by the time I finally got a good number for D-Link customer service and actually got a agent on line the thing went completely DEAD!!! A lot of wasted time and now I have to go through the trouble of returning this turd to Amazon. Just a bit more to add, yesterday on our weekly trip to 'Wally World' I picked up a NetGear N150 and within less than ten minutes I had it up and running and my wife was using her new Tablet to...
Summary: I can not configure the router. The login webpage keep telling me your password is wrong. This is very stupid as the instruction asks the user to leave the password blank. I tried to do this many times. I think they give me the old one that have already been configured.
Excerpt: We have had nothing but problems with this device since we got it. It will just lose signal or reboot itself whenever it wants. After numerous phone calls to dlink tech support (in which I was hung up on). i was also told they would call me back when going from one tier of tech support to another and never getting a call. They finally gave me a rma which I have to send the unit back so they can fix it and send it back to me.
Excerpt: The low price, and the promise of reliability for the home attracted me.... this time I was wrong.....not a deal. I'm returning it and for approximately $10- $15 more, I'll have a product that runs circles around this. Cheap ? INDEED, in the worst way.
