Summary: I owned one of these for a few years. I also had some trouble getting my printer to wake from sleep mode to print, and assumed it was a bug in the printer. Bought a second printer and had the same problem. The only thing between the printer and the computer was this switch.
Summary: I've owned a lot of D-Link products over the years and most have been a great value. Though I bought this unit some time ago I didn't really need all the speed it should be able to push as a Gigabit switch.
Summary: Plug it in and It works... GREAT PRODUCT a++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Summary: I may be one of the few reviews here offering life cycle (3 year) experience. I own three of these units; two (2) DGS-2208 and one (1) DGS-2205 My experience with the unit has been about par for what I expected of a lower cost gigabit switch.
Summary: Our first product review for Its Geek Time is this nifty gigabit network switch brought to you by D-Link. For years D-link has taken a back seat to bigger companies like Linksys and Netgear for home network equipment.
Summary: This switch is, simply put, great. It took longer to unwrap, open, and get the parts out the box than it did to get all my network cables plugged in and movies streaming. I have 5 rooms with ports, so this 8-port switch is just enough to have 5 rooms/wireless router/media center/1 left to spare for...
Summary: D-Link makes a Excellent 8-port Gigabit Switch for home use ,light industrial ,or small office. The switch has excellent throughput and work's very well to run 10 / 100 /1000 (gigabit) device's networked together and used after your router,(or connected to your router for device expansion).
