Good Value

  • Summary: Good value, works well. Sure beats any big box shop pricing for a switch with that many ports. Passes date quick and cleanly.

All in all, one of the best switches over 16 ports.

thelastorpheus, Ebay
22 April 2011
  • Summary: The DSS-24+ is the perfect solution for a small business looking to upgrade their network. With an MSRP of only $144 USD and the ability to be upgrade with a single fiber line (for switch-to-switch/switch-to-router/switch-to-server), this unmanaged switch is an inexpensive, scalable solution. Being unmanaged, it is ideal for individuals who are not very technically inclined. This model -does- have a fan which keeps it cool.

Works like a dream. Plug and play. No internet lag.

schreiaa, Ebay
4 May 2010
  • Summary: Needed more ports, as I was running on a router which only had room for 4 units. Has room for 24 network units, or 23 + internet connection depending on your needs.

Works Great Without Sliding or Tipping Over

Markus Stewart "Zach", Amazon
27 November 2001
  • Summary: Works good. The smaller switches slide or tip over when you get 10 or more CAT5 cables connected. Especially when your using it for home and lab practice uses. Usually you disconnect cables for different scenarios quite often. I highly recommend for techs practicing their CCNA or MCITP exams.

Great Switch

Markus Stewart "Zach", Amazon
27 November 2001
  • Summary: I have two years with this and the 36 ports version of this switchs and both work very well, the people at the nerwork don't need to know what is they NIC speed to connect to the network and is very usefull if you have a mixed speed clients, because you don't need one network for 10 Mbits and other for 100 Mbits.

  • Summary: We installed two of these in a private school lab and have not had one issue for over a year. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an inexpensive, durable, unmanaged switch.
