Summary: Had to replace my relatively new (one year old) Cisco (Linksys) router after it kept losing the connection and having to do a hard boot on the router every day. Decided to upgrade to the 900 dual band router to compete for bandwidth with my gamer son! I've been quite satisfied on it's performance thus far. Not locks, lag time, buffering, etc. when I watch Netflix through my wireless Blu-ray on TV. It is an outstanding router, and I will never use all of it's features.
Great router for the money I couldn't beat it.

Summary: I bought this router to replace my older dlink dir-655. What I like about this router is that it has a much further reach than my older dlink and the added band allows for faster video processing when watching Netflix and Hulu. No more interruptions just smooth streaming. How this one compares to others out there... It ranks amongst the top 5 routers currently to include the newer AC1750's that are out now.
Summary: Paid $100 with free shipping for a manufacturer refurbished unit. For home use this router is excellent. Range is superior, antenna power dialed down to low and still have wi-fi from the street curb. Hardware and software are easy to install. Only two drawbacks - the WPS function is hard to configure, actually easier doing the traditional manual syncing and lastly there are a lot of features to this router and you will have to read the manual to navigate through the...
Summary: We are a very heavy internet using family. 3 XBOXes, Netflix streaming, plus our smartphones, regular internet browsing and Ooma Telo VOIP. I also have a wireless N print server (Zonet ZPW4000)that's very finicky about the router it connects...
"stable, USB 3.0 is Fast!, dual bands work well together"
22 April 2012
Pros: *rock stable for 9 connected devices in home network *both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz work well with excellent speed and balance *USB 3.0 is FAST! *IPV6 ready *extensive menus and configuration options *HDTV movies streamed with glitches
Cons: *onboard clock is glitchy (without NTP server enabled) *every change requested a router re-boot, taking 60sec minimum. *5.0GHz range not quite as good as 2.4GHz range *a little pricey (>$200)
Pros: *Gave me a speed increase (8Mbs to be precise) *Constant speeds with no ups or downs *Great range on the 2.4Ghz *5GHz network runs very efficiently (Especially for those who live around a large network)
Cons: *Price is a bit steep ($200 CAD retail) *5GHz range doesn't quite reach as far as 2.4GHz *A mandatory installation to setup the router might take a long time, or even frustrate you.
