Don't buy even if cheap! Unstable even after firmware upgrade.

Summary: OK, I'll admit it, I bought this router because it was cheap. I found it for about half price as an Amazon Warehouse Deal. I only read the first few reviews and certainly didn't do enough research since the problems I ultimately experienced were shared by many others.
Worst D-Link router I've owned (and this is number 6).

Summary: UPDATE: Do NOT buy this model. Or check the D-Link Support Forums to see issues others are having first. DIR-827 purchased on 12/11/2011 and I have to RMA it on 6/6/2012. For the past two months the 2.4GHz radio just stops working.
Summary: I'm really disappointed with this router. Is really easy to setup but 5 minutes later it began to shut down every 15 minutes. Searching throught the web the only help you got is to turn off all the add-ons to make the router configuration stable.
Summary: When it works it works great, but don't count on it being consistent. Tolerated it for about 9 months, will be calling in under warranty, but from what I see from other reviews it is par for the course. Loses connection and you either wait or have to reset it. Have the latest firmware, doesn't help.
Summary: As wireless Access point i can't complain yet. Signals is strong and everything works pretty fast. I didn't check max throughput though... Where it crashes and burns is in it's DLNA (uPnP) media streaming advertised capabilities.
Summary: I really really wanted this to work. The USB plug on my WNDR3700 stopped working after a year and a half, which I used as to stream to devices via Samba. This router and the similar DIR-857 were the only ones I could find that supported USB3.0, so I gave it a shot.
