Summary: I bought this router for use with two xbox consoles on the same network. One wireless and the other wired. I also connect to the wireless with a two laptops, as well as two phones. My smart tv and computer connect via wires. The router handles all traffic very well but every once in a while the wireless bails out and then comes back within 5 minutes. I would recommend this router for the money.
Summary: If you have ultra fast internet and use it for gaming do not get this. Basic setup easy. Advance setup needed for media steaming and mmo's. I spend about 2hours trying to setup no luck, I still get a lag spike every 30s (lag caused by the router). QOS does not work. Wifi range limited. Was a replacement for [very cheap] router which worked better. Returning the DLink now.
Summary: The router keeps dropping the internet connection. Looked at the D-Link Blogs and there it is - this router drop the internet access every 15-90 minutes. Not a reliable router. Called D-link for support and the experience was pathetic. I will never purchase a D-Link product ever again. D-Link in my opinion is no longer a Brand to look forward to.
Summary: I am using this router for more than a month now and it just works 100%. It is fast, reliable, not very hot when running. IPv4, v6, dual band, USB sharing, network storage (even Linux can see it through samba), card reader!, it's all there. A few things I would like them to be different: - everything you change in the setup requires a reset - not nice - doesn't have a vertical mount Overall, a very good product.
Summary: Finally 9 hours to get it reconfigured for 1 Xbox, 1 Vista laptop, 1 XP desktop, 3 ipods 1 Yamaha amp. Setup is not a breeze, and I know what I am doing. My other review is still partially valid. Once set up it is really nice router. But custom setups may put you over the edge. To get this finally working had to tweak almost half the "auto settings", do 2 firmware upgrades and reconfigure almost every piece of hardware that worked fine for 4 years.
Summary: Might be a dud, but I doubt it. Wirless connections took minutes to lock addresses and connect. Wired main computer refused to connect to internet after 4 hours of tweaking and 20 reboots of router, computer and modem. I plugged in old router and 30 sec later had full internet access! A big waste of half a day. Cannot comment on throughput since could never connect! Thought it would be a good deal based on advertised features.
