Summary: The range on this device is horrible! On a wired connection I get around 150 Mbps. Standing directly in front of it on WiFi I get around 52 Mbps. One room away I goes down to 30 Mbps. Two rooms away it looses signal regularly but when it does connect its around 10 Mbps. I have a rather small house and when I bought this router I was excited about the 600 Mbps but over the last few months I have realized what a waste of money this device is!

Summary: The router arrived in good condition. I was unable to get it up and running, it is not "plug and pray". Calling the help desk was a challenge, with a string of selections to make and guess what, when you talk to a live person you are in the wrong dept. and get dropped and have to start again. Third try I got through to a service desk after refusing to give credit card number as it was a new purchase.
Summary: Complete waste of money. Hooked up side by side with my cisco router. Dlink broadcasted 12mbps. Cisco 79.3mbps. Not even close. Also drops signal every 25 min like clockwork! Keep the router you have and just open up ports for "cloud" access. This is a huge POS!
Summary: I bought this because I trusted that Amazon would not be handling it if problematical. It then never worked without connectivity issues. I did what I could to troubleshoot it, but gave up in June and contacted tech support, only to reach someone who spoke fractured English and mostly could not be understood. All he offered was to change wireless channels and upgrade the firmware from 1.02 to 1.04.
Summary: Didnt believe the other reviews and went and got one. Seemed great on initial install, nice strong signal etc. 1 week later, cant get a consistent strong enough signal to see the 5 ghz upstairs in the bedroom, but basically DIRECTLY OVER THE ROUTER. Even the signal on the 2GHz has puked, signal levels are bad unless right next to the router, even then download speeds arent even comparable to the wired connection.
11 Months of Network Issues before things got so bad I called tech support

Summary: I have had the DIR-826L for 11 months. There is only one month to go on the warranty. This DIR-826L would periodically drop the network connection and I would reset it. The drops have continued to get more frequent such that I had to reset it almost daily. Recently, we just started feeling that the Internet was really slow. Initially I did not associate that with this device, so I called my internet service provider about networking issues.
Summary: I bought this router because in the past I've owned several DLINK routers and other products. I never had a problem with them. They worked great. One week after I bought this item it burned out. Amazon returns handled this great. I never returned an item to Amazon before. They sent me a new one immediately. I used the same box, called the number they provided, and I was all done. No label prep, nothing. Way to go Amazon!
Summary: I paired this with a Motorola Surfboard eXtreme Cable Modem for use with Comcast ISP at 30mbps in Elgin IL. The cable modem seems to work just fine. I have my primary PC connected to the router via Ethernet cable. We also have another PC and a laptop (all 3 Windows 7) connected wirelessly. When we connect a SECOND XBox gaming console, the router drops ALL connections.
Summary: OK. I purchased this router a few weeks ago, based on the fact that it had "cloud" capabilities. Not being a skilled network administrator, I read through everything, and it looked simple enough. I got it installed, worked, and allowed me to access the internet no problem. I had WPA2-PSK configured on both bands. I then plugged in my free agent, desktop hard drive, and began working through to set up access.
