Summary: Complete waste of money. Hooked up side by side with my cisco router. Dlink broadcasted 12mbps. Cisco 79.3mbps. Not even close. Also drops signal every 25 min like clockwork! Keep the router you have and just open up ports for "cloud" access. This is a huge POS!
Summary: I bought this because I trusted that Amazon would not be handling it if problematical. It then never worked without connectivity issues. I did what I could to troubleshoot it, but gave up in June and contacted tech support, only to reach someone who spoke fractured English and mostly could not be...
11 Months of Network Issues before things got so bad I called tech support

Summary: I have had the DIR-826L for 11 months. There is only one month to go on the warranty. This DIR-826L would periodically drop the network connection and I would reset it. The drops have continued to get more frequent such that I had to reset it almost daily.
Summary: On time delivery, came in good condition. Now the bad, If you try to use it as an access point forget it, when you change the routers IP and turn off the DHCP server the primary router does not see it nor can you address it with a direct NIC connection from your computer.
Summary: Worked fine for the first few months, then, like other reviewers, the router started lagging; video started stuttering; downloads started pausing on both wired and wireless connections. Then it started becoming completely unresponsive - only coming to life after hard resets to factory settings.

Summary: The router arrived in good condition. I was unable to get it up and running, it is not "plug and pray". Calling the help desk was a challenge, with a string of selections to make and guess what, when you talk to a live person you are in the wrong dept. and get dropped and have to start again.
Summary: I paired this with a Motorola Surfboard eXtreme Cable Modem for use with Comcast ISP at 30mbps in Elgin IL. The cable modem seems to work just fine. I have my primary PC connected to the router via Ethernet cable. We also have another PC and a laptop (all 3 Windows 7) connected wirelessly.
Summary: As others have stated, the wifi continually disconnects and reconnects. I also get several errors in the syslog. Do yourself a favor and visit their forums, as many other people are experiencing this issue. I was using my old Linksys router and it was completely reliable..
