Good value router, but spring for the DIR-836L instead
Richard Hefner, Amazon
18 October 2015
Summary: I have no complaints using these - this is an excellent unit for the price. But for $4 more you can get the higher level DIR-836L which has even better wireless range. The router functions well with our Polycom VoIP phones connected to a cloud based PBX, though - as I would expect since the firewall...
Summary: Alittle faster than my old router. Going from website to website is sometimes faster. However, loading is still slow on occasion, it burps and best to just refresh. Since Comcast bumped up their speeds for streaming my internet has had a hard time loading.
Otherwise easy to setup as with most D-Link routers

Summary: Do not buy. This router turns itself off overnight. Same problem encountered as other users/reviewers. Otherwise easy to setup as with most D-Link routers. Signal strength 1 bar better than my old N150 D-Link router.
... a few hours but so far it has worked great. At first it would not work at all ...

Summary: I am putting 4 stars for right now because I have had it for just for a few hours but so far it has worked great. At first it would not work at all but I looked up the company and found their Technical Support line. There I was helped by Joseph who's badge # is AR004204.
Summary: This router is great I'm not really computer savvy and had a hard time getting it to connect and work so I called customer service and spoke with Ar004221 Marvin.. He was very patient with me and took his time to walk me through step by step on how to set my d link up and also waited to make sure my...
5 smart phones, and other devices going simultaneously
Bruce Whitesell, Amazon
26 July 2015
Summary: I got tired of the lousy wireless coverage that the Comcast modem and wireless equipment provided and found a pair of these 810Ls on a close out. I cascaded (cabled) them with one at the back of my house in my walk out basement and the other one on closer to the middle of the main floor.
Summary: Though this a great router in terms of peak performance, it is not very consistent. Frequently, you'd see that you have a slow internet connection or a weak WiFi connection even right next to the router itself.
Summary: First off, my benchmark for this device was the WiFi performance from my 2Wire/Pace 3801HGV Gateway (AT&T Uverse internet). The WiFi on the 3801HGV is limited to 802.11g/54 Mbps speed, which is fairly weak by today's standards -- not to mention that WiFi signals, regardless of standard, tend to...
Unreliable as a WIRELESS router - works with direct line of sight only
Jean G., Amazon
9 July 2015
Summary: The product worked fine (no DOA) as a WIRED router. However, as a wireless router, it is very very S L O W even when a wireless device is only 3-5 ft way. When a wireless device is 20 ft away (with chairs/sofa in between) or behind one sheet rock wall, it is impossible to have a reliable connection.
