Summary: The precipitous drop in the price of this thing since its release should tell people everything they need to know about it, far more so than its high reviewer rating or its (inexplicable) inclusion on C|Net's "Best Cheap Routers of 2014" list. This dog is anything but.
Summary: Out of the box, this item had difficulty setting up. After a call to support it was up wired but there were problems with wireless. 2 additional days of support, updating firmware, changing settings, etc. support told me that the item will not send wireless signal through interference. Their definition of interference is sheetrock, glass, air, etc.
Summary: OK so I was like WOW a $175 D-Link for $20!! Well there is a reason. I had mine for about a week, up and running, until I ran into weakend WiFi signal. Then for some odd reason the WiFi stopped connecting for any wireless device. A month after issues with the WiFi, after tweaking it with new firmware and deep setup techniques but still weakend signal, the ethernet ports gave out. Now, this I have never had happen. Troubleshoot did nothing.
Summary: This router is absolutely disappointing in performance. I spent a long time with this router (about 3 months) just trying to troubleshoot and fix to get it up to acceptable condition. Bottom line is that D-Link should have just scrapped this model. Maybe the higher-end models like the D-Link HD Media Router 2000 (DIR-827) or the D-Link HD Media Router 3000 (DIR-857) perform better, and if so D-Link should have just sold those models.
Summary: Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist ok. Instsallation war etwas kompliziert, da es über die CD nicht funktionierte. Der Umtausch des defekten ersten Gerätes verlief reibungslos. Neulieferung innerhalb von 3 Tagen. Was will man mehr.
