Summary: Pro: Works just fine Cons: Setup was a little tougher than expected. The instruction manual could have been a bit more helpful. Was really lacking in instructions for the "average" consumer and they would most likely need more assistance to get this setup.
Summary: I purchased the Wi-Fi router primarily to see if I can get better reception in one area of the home. I replaced my Dlink DIR-615 which btw is a great unit as well. I'll use the DIR-615 as a back-up. The other reason for my purchase was the usb ability to connect my WD Passport HDD and price discount they offered. BTW, there was no mention in the manual how to use the usb port. I Googled it and learned that you need to download a SharePoint Util App (free).
Summary: Easy to set up, but has the capacity for a complex setup, including port forwarding. I just used the manual setup to input the routers IP and DNS, gave the wireless network a name and password and started using it. Much better signal and speed at all locations. Was able to eliminate one Wifi extender I had needed to reach some wireless video cameras with the previous router.
Summary: I bought this to use as a second access point in my wifi setup. Although it isn't specifically designed to do so, it works great. After initial setup, I don't even know it's there. I can move from one end of the house to the other and down to the basement without loosing signal. That was the goal and it worked like a charm.
