Do not attempt to use without a code upgrade

newbie, Amazon
27 May 2014
  • Summary: It has worked well . I wish the manufacturer mentioned "to do an update prior to using it". I spent three evenings trying to configure it. The fact that it did not work “out of the box” should have told me that something was wrong. The code upgrade is an option in the device menu. Once the upgrade was done it worked as expected without any further requirements. Good range and stable signal. It has worked better than the old D-link that was giving me trouble.

Don't get close to the 300mb.

Deathblow, TigerDirect.com
22 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought 2 300mb wireless routers in the last few months. The first one constantly connects at 270mbs across the house, but this one has trouble getting above 100mbs. Both routers were in the same location, and both are similar in specifications. It was easy to set up and has been reliable, if reliably slow is a good thing?

good basic router with some caveats

B. Sharp, Amazon
8 December 2012
  • Summary: This is good basic router; an excellent value for most home networks. It is relatively easy to set up using either the manual method or the automated method that the included instructions recommend. We've only been using it for a couple of days so far, but no dropping or intermittent connection issues for our 11 devices. It is not dual-band, which isn't really an issue for us, and it does NOT have IPV6, which some descriptions indicated it did have.

Good basic router

Monk Sage, Amazon
26 June 2012
  • Summary: We purchased this as a replacement for our older Belkin G unit which was choking on our new Samsung SmartTV. Our new Galaxy cellphones were also not able to receive the WIFI signals from the Belkin unit that our old Palm Pres handled without issue. For these reasons we bought this basic D-Link router, and so far we are pleased. The problems with the Samsung SmartTV disappeared, and the WIFI signal strength increased to workable levels.

reasonably good cloud wifi router

Mia, Amazon
26 August 2014
  • Summary: I bought this router for its "cloud capability". Installation was fast with only a few difficulties as the router "could not see the Internet" but this was sorted by entering the-above-router's IP as the DNS address. Since then it works perfect with no hickups. The "cloud" mydlink function works fine, I can access it from my android, I can remotely modify settings, it reports by email who connects to my home network.
