Summary: Set up process was at times mystifying, although I am not an expert in doing these kinds of things. When I finally got it working, at least initially, for some reason within 24 hours, the laptops in the family that use the router for internet connection, reported only limited connection. Never heard of such a thing, But after hunting and searching for answers and trying everything I could think of, I took it down and put in the old Belkin that I had been using.
Summary: great little unit, everything is very simple for the people who are not tech dynamo's. Once you put in you password from your modem/router this unit is easy as 1,2,3 to set up. Supper for any smartphone and other wired or wi-fy hardware. Price is right and the one function I desired was the ability to link up my smartphone with my security camera at home. The only thing I disliked was no on and off switch on the unit and maybe a USB connection as well.
Cons: This thing sputters out and dies rather frequently. I had a router go bad on me, and I was using my backup router- a Pre-N spec belkin router from around 2006. I saw an attractive price on this one and figured this one would be better than something that old. Oh how I was wrong. This thing has so much latency. My desktop is roughly 10 feet away, and simply opening my laptop at the same desk and connecting causes latency to spike to around 400ms. This was not an issue ...
Summary: I owned it for a two weeks. In the beginning connections were weak and unstable. I can’t say it’s the router. I live in a large building and its possible could be issues with internet services. Now the connection is stable and strong. Easily provide 800 sq ft range.
Summary: Most wireless router always gets very annoying to configure, this one, I was able to configure the wireless in 5mins with the auto configuration that is literally making this beyond super easy. This router also gave me my full 30mbits download and 10mbits upload. I had an old D-Link 604 that wouldn't go past 9mbits. This one is wireless, has good bandwidth and cost 20 and is easier to configure then any router I've seen, what else to ask for?
