Summary: I have ordered two of these and neither worked.. When the first one wouldn't bring up the configuration screen, I call DLink support. After a support person had me do a bunch of tests, they decided the unit was bad and told me to return it. I did so and assuming that this had to be a fluke order a replacement. However when it arrived it had the same symptoms, it wouldn't bring up the configuration screen.
Terrible company, products, documentation, and support!
Not for me., Amazon

Summary: I tried several times to set up this product with the enclosed instructions. I then tried several times after reading and view on-line help pages or videos. I then called their tech support number. After over an hour on the phone, Dlink could not get their product to work right! I have had issues with their products before, but I will never have them again! I am done with Dlink!
Summary: Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I get stressed and upset everytime I have to change configuration. As a repeater I gave up on trying. Really useless. It worked only in hotspot mode at home, I am trying to set. up it as a hotspot on another router for hours... now I am sad and miserable. Dlink? Sorry. Never again. (Maybe my stuff came from a special box named "stuff four tourists, they will never try to get a replacement").
Summary: Bought this to pickup wifi in areas around the property where the signal was weak. Contacted seller who promptly told me that's not the intended purpose despite what the literature states. Called the toll free number, but signal was still inadequate. Amazon was great however in refunding my money for something that doesn't even make a good paperweight!
This is a product to be sold only to americans residents. Amazon should inform this.

Summary: My product came with a error to install and the answer of the D-LInk System (Case ID is C6431665) was that the suport is not valid for outside of USA, even bought in the country. Try another brand.
Summary: I got one of these to give as a gift, and another for myself as I liked the feature set so much. It's pretty cool to be able to use this as a Router, wifi hotspot or repeater. It's small size was ideal for travel - being able to turn your hotel room's wired connection into wireless sounded pretty great, and the USB port meant it could be used simply as a USB charger in the airport or to connect an external hard drive or printer to your home network effortlessly.
Summary: I bought this item a couple of month ago to use in a hotel. It was used to broadcast the wired connection. However, the 802.11n wireless signal was so weak that all my devices can only connect to the router via 802.11G. The loss of connection speed is obvious! Had to return it.
Summary: There's not much more to be said than this product did not work for me at all. The instruction sheet, which includes a whole lot of words and pictures, but precious little in the way of information, was useless in every way in debugging why I could not ever get to the router setup page, despite multiple attempts.
Summary: I purchased this device to operate as a wireless signal repeater. I have a router D-Link Dir 645 that provides my wireless network and the D-Link DIR-505L simply does not recognize your signal. It detects the other networks, but not the one I have. It seems to me that there is a mismatch between equipment. I have sent emails to support from D-Link, but they have not responded to any of them.
Nice try, but not reliable for attached USB drives

Summary: I'm pretty technical, and was looking forward to this when it was first announced by D-Link, as I've used their consumer networking products for a few years now. Unfortunately, the software and/or the hardware needs serious work, before its ready for prime-time. I tried two different units, with both the original 1.0 firmware, as well as the latest 1.02 release.
