Summary: Opened the box, read the instructions, placed the CD in the PC, followed the instructions very precisely...doesn't work! Used the ethernet cables that the old router was plugged into and this D-link router programme could not find the connection to the Internet. Used the ethernet cable that came with the D-link router and the D-link programme then could not find the router. It's going back.
Summary: Great item - tried to buy cheaper and only goy fingers burnt. Should have bought the D link first. Very easy to set up with installation disk - which must be used on all the computers that use the link. Very compact and nice looking.
Summary: The router is supplied by Pixmania and mine was a French version. All the documentation was in English and an adaptor was supplied for the european plug which works fine although a crosshead srewdriver was needed to attach it correctly as the plug screws in and locks itself - a safety measure I beleive!
Summary: The supplied installation CD would not get past the "Saving settings" without crashing and leaving the "Please tell Microsoft of this problem" message. This happened on both my computers, one XP home, the other XP professional, indicating a software, or CD hardware problem. I had to interrogate the router directly, typing 192.168.0.1 into the browser, and cloning the mac code from there. After doing this, which shouldn't have been necessary, the router worked perfectly.
