Summary: It works great with my Netgear XAVB5004 and two XAVB5602. I looked for a second XAVB5004 for months since I didn't want to fill my router with powerline adapters. I saw a used Netgear XAVB5004 on Amazon for over $300. The D-Link AV 500 was $88, new.
Good solution but will not achieve the advertised speeds
Fox: Fairly Unbalanced, Amazon
18 June 2014
Summary: This is a good alternative to wireless. I am concerned about security and wanted to physically attach all my devices. While this does work, it does not achieve the desired speeds as advertised. I think the only way this is possible is if all of your circuits are on the same run.
Summary: Seriously D-Link this product, the documentation and usability is disgraceful. As CEO you should be ashamed that you would oversee such rubbish leaving your company. After 6 hours I have given up. If you read the reviews you will understand customer frustrations.
Summary: I purchased this along with the D-Link powerline AV500 to hook up my entertainment center (PS3, PS4, Xbox and Computer) works great, though every once in a while for the PS3 I will have to cycle the power to re-establish a connection.
Summary: This switch is unable to get Internet connected even the device is just out from box. I get a replacement from Amazon but the result is the same. There is no trouble shooting procedure included inside the package.
