Good as long as it's working

Cedric M, B&H Photo
13 July 2015
  • Excerpt: I bought this back in september 2012, was working fine until a few weeks ago. It was plugged into an APC inline battery backup, and suddenly the POE went down. Never the POE has been used at max. The switch is still functional as a simple switch but POE is dead.
  • Pros: Easily Expanded, Easy To Set Up, Small
  • Cons: Unreliable

Rock solid

  • Excerpt: We've bought quite a few of these units recently as we've moved to a VOIP phone system and didn't have enough data ports in our offices to cope. These switches are silent, they stay cool and are cheap. Plus the POE ports work seamlessly with our new VOIP handsets.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Reliable
  • Cons: Could Have More Poe Ports

Perfect fit for the money!

  • Excerpt: This switch is the complete setup on a small IP camera system. It provides 8 ports with 4 being POE. With a 1 gig internal it reduces the glitches and freezing that you get from a 10/100 switch. This is my go to for the smaller IP camera jobs!

Great Switch!

Mike, B&H Photo
28 July 2014
  • Excerpt: I purchased this switch to provide data and power connections for my IP cameras (POE). The switch is nice and compact and performs great giving me 4 powered connections and 4 standard Ethernet, with all connections providing 1gb speed. I highly recommend if you need a fast POE unmanaged switch.

Not much to say other than it works as advertised

Timothy G. Blum, Amazon
25 June 2014
  • Summary: Bought primarily to power one wireless access point (DAP-2690) and still have some other switch connections available should need arise or we add more PoE access points. It worked fine for this purpose.

The switch seems well made. Power brick seems a bit wimpy. You'll lose one port

Dose Buster "Was mich nicht tötet, macht mich..., Amazon
9 September 2013
  • Summary: DLINK is honest about how many ports are PoE capable. The switch is in a metal case with attachable rubber feet. There are no tabs for wall mount. It's intended for a desktop. There is not a separate uplink port for connecting the switch to your router; so, you will use one port to connect it to...

User Review

Panamaniac, Walmart

  • Summary: This is just a switch so what can I say. It worked right out of the box with no problems. It powers a POE camera which is why I purchased it.
