Loud

Lazlo "Lazlo", Amazon
23 February 2015
  • Summary: Seems to work okay but is freaking loud. Is there a way, besides unplugging it, to set the fan speed? It seems to be on max.

Solid Switch

James G., Newegg
18 February 2015
  • Summary: Haven't used the SFP ports.
  • Pros: I have had this switch for over 2 years. I liked it so much I went to buy another as it is time to expand and I noticed what little reviews it had, so I thought I should share my experience. This switch does a lot of heavy lifting as it is used to power and transmit from 5MP IP cameras. All in al...
  • Cons: I have had a problem where the configuration was lost once. I'm pretty sure I wrote the changes.

Loud

Kevin Campbell, Amazon
25 September 2013
  • Summary: I have several dlink switches. All 24 port. This one is twice as loud as any of the others. Other than that it's worked great like all the dlink switches I've owned.

Great little switch for the price

Edward A. Luczycki, Amazon
5 February 2013
  • Summary: If you are looking for a solid, low cost switch with POE and density - this D-Link is hard to beat. This one is used to power 10 IP phones and a hand ful of router / AP and workstation connections. It has full VLAN / QoS support though in smaller installations they are probably not needed.

Only good for PoE

Jeremiah G., Newegg
18 October 2012
  • Summary: This switch is OK if you only need the very most basic VLAN support, but there are better switches available for the same or less cost.
  • Pros: PoE works well. Cheap. Sturdy.
  • Cons: Voice VLAN feature doesn't actually work. No real LLDP-MED support. No CDP support.

Great great!

Engin T., Newegg
2 May 2012
  • Summary: The first one was DOA. I don't believe that DOA's should deduct eggs. But it would be great if there was a standard where users could mark a box that says DOA, and the item review would show how many DOA's there were in general.
  • Pros: Great interface. Gives you plenty of controls. Limit PoE, turn purts on-off. Best of all 24 port PoE. Two gigabit ports for my server... just nice.
  • Cons: Fan is a little loud.
