Works as advertised. I've come to trust D-Link home ...

GkD, Amazon

  • Summary: Works as advertised. I've come to trust D-Link home products as over the years they've never let me down. This unit replaced a 6 year old Linksys which had lost half its ports to failure.

19 May 2014
  • Summary: Great purchase for home or work. D-Link also makes a PoE version; I have also had great success with them as well.
  • Pros: Unit is solid as a rock, install and forget about it. Mountable to a server cabinet / wall or use the included rubber feet for desktop placement. Have purchased at least 10 over the past few months. I love the metal case, makes it feel solid, like it will take a beating. Transfer speeds are top n...

Does the Job

Matthew C., Newegg
26 February 2014
  • Summary: It doesn't get much less glamorous then an unmanaged 8 port hub, which is probably why there are no reviews for this product. However I bought one of these about 18 months ago and it has worked well.
  • Pros: It works. Small form factor. Can be wall mounted.
  • Cons: None so far.

A great switch

Gordon J., Newegg
20 June 2013
  • Summary: I bought this to replace a defective Cisco unit that I bought. I'll just keep this one as a spare once a replacement unit is sent back to me. The Cisco unit has more ports that I need but this one will suffice for now.
  • Pros: Plugged the cables in and everything just worked. Couldn't ask for a simpler installation. It runs cool so I'm not worried about heat.
  • Cons: No real cons so far.

Anonymous, Newegg
21 April 2013
  • Summary: I was pleased with this since it worked right out of the box and provides the needed extra ports where needed. Another review comments about the "nice" wall mount - I want to clarify this is just a couple of drywall plugs and screws.
  • Pros: works right out of box sized right for my application sturdy metal case
  • Cons: none
