Excerpt: I now have 4 of these switches. I use them in a security camera system to power the cameras and connect to the private wireless network that supports them. Pros: They are small, plug-n-play, work great, and switch data. Cons: None that I found yet.
Summary: I use this PoE switch to power up my AP and security cameras. It has to stay on the wall panel. I was able to disassembled it and drilled 4 holes on its bottom cover and secured it on the wall panel, fairly easy thanks to its simple design and structure. Since then, it's been working flawlessly.
Summary: I purchased two of these to power 8x PoE IR bullet cameras (1920x1080 @ 30fps). After two months of 24/7 use, these things have performed 100% flawlessly. They are rock solid in terms of performance with no random reboots, no dropped connections, and are silent and cool.
Summary: These are great for our co location workstations. We use the one POE port for Avaya IP phones, and the others for our printers, thin clients leaving one extra 10/100 port. As far as I know there are no 5 port switches that offer a POE. Good buy
Summary: Where I will be creating my POE network this weekend, I must say I am impressed with what I see so far. The switch is hefty for its size telling me it is a good quality construction. I will assume the weight is not only the skeletal framework but sizeable heat sinks to handle its transfer of power.
