Summary: Last year I disconnected from Comcast cable internet to save some money. I went with Clear 4g WIMAX which is available in my area. I wanted a wireless router that would work with my Clear 4g USB stick by Motorola. The Cradlepoint CTR35 fits the bill. After getting the 1st router it did not work out of the box. No connection to any of three computers either wireless or Ethernet. No problem Amazon would replace it.
Summary: Purchased this router to create private network while on vacation. Followed directions w/r/t firmware update. Worked flawlessly. Note: Verizon software (VZAccess Manager) will not be able to recognize USB760 since the router is the go-between. Therefor you must activate/recharge the USB760 while directly connected to a laptop/desktop prior to using with the Cradlepoint router.
Summary: I had doubts that this would work with the T-Mobile laptop sticks. It worked within minutes and now we never have to worry about breaking one of the laptop sticks. Two or three of use one laptop stick at the same time with the router.
Summary: Few devices have such an outstanding "out of the box" experience. Booted it up, upgraded firmware, configured WPA2 AES access, connected my Sprint USB cellular stick to the WAN port and all the laptops in my house had secured wireless access. I had never heard of Cradlepoint and was initially looking at the big players, Linksys, Dlink, Netgear etc. I chose Cradlepoint because they engineer cellular routers and that is it.
Summary: I purchased this router to acheive wireless connectivity in my home using a Pantech UM185 usb modem. All I had to do was plug in the router and it was up and running in seconds. Since my internet plan has a data usage cap, it's also very helpful that the CTR35 router keeps track of how much data I use (as long as I always keep it on).
Summary: I often use this when traveling in conjunction with a Virgin Mobile BB2Go stick. You can even buy a car 12 volt power supply to use it on the road and get internet access for non-3G/4G enabled devices. Good speed and decent range for a small device.
Summary: You can only choose among a limited number of G3 modem Manufacturers and Models. Turns out that none of the Modems I had were supported. Why doesn't CradlePoint make a menu to allow the end user to configure the modem?
Summary: I bought this over a year ago. Was a bit challenging to configure. But once configured it worked extremely well as a repeater, access point and a WiFi router. The fact that you can stick a usb Air Card into it and share your connection, still makes it the best product of it's kind. It also has surprisingly great range.
Summary: What a great device. I use this when presenting to customers. I simply plug my 4G MiFi into the WAN port and have all my wireless devices connect to it for internet access. It works flawlessly!
