  • Summary: I installed 5 WAP 551's in a cluster. Setup was easy, Range could be better but not bad.l I have one that needs to be rebooted every few days but overall they work great. If the reboot issue continues this week, I will exchange the unit.

  • Summary: I installed 2 of them at the office. We have more than 100 devices on the system at any one time. When you walk from one end of the building to the other connected devices switch from one router to the other. Our previous crash issues from overloading have been eliminated.

  • Summary: 1, Reason why I chose : I was looking for an alternative to WAP321-A-K9 AP. 2, like & dislike : Same ”easy to use” web interface, yet much better functionality. It’s a DUAL band and connection is very reliable. Coverage are is fairly large.

Like an Aironet but cheaper

herrickd, Amazon
2 December 2014
  • Summary: This is a great wireless access point for the money. The #1 features in my book are PoE (does not include a power cable), dual bands (2.4GHz & 5GHz), captivate portal, and VLAN support. This is a much better WAP than the WAP121 or WAP321.

  • Summary: Better than expected. Didn't know it supported cluster management. Made setup of all WAP's after the first very simple... Just had to join the cluster.
