Excellent switch

Michael H., Newegg
19 February 2016
  • Summary: great product, I recommend it and would buy again if the need arose.
  • Pros: This replaced an old dell switch I've been using for years. It was beginning to act up a little and fan went out in it. This cisco switch has been running flawless for several months now.
  • Cons: none

great drop on switch

Jason S., Newegg
9 November 2015
  • Pros: great unmanaged gigabit switch. Just works
  • Cons: two rows of ports . as it is rack mountable it would be nice for a larger package with only one row of ports.

Good Unmanaged Switch

John M., Newegg
6 July 2015
  • Summary: Will buy again!
  • Pros: Good price! Works, set it and forget it! Status lights below each port gives you instance data status at a glance compared to other switches where small, hard to see status lights are clustered to the side of the switch!
  • Cons: None so far!

Simple and Reliable

Paul M., Newegg
6 April 2015
  • Summary: Ports on the front and power on the back could make things messy depending on use-case, as opposed to both power and ports on the back. May be a pro if cables are frequently being added/removed from the switch (ease of access). (Purchased from Provantage 9/2013)
  • Pros: Switch is dead simple to use, and has been rock-solid. Inclusion of SFP ports are nice for fibre integration with larger networks, though is likely overkill for the target market. The flexibility of a smaller form-factor while maintaining the ability to rack-mount via included brackets is nice. F...

Great value when on sale

James R., Newegg
6 April 2015
  • Pros: These are great switches. Sometimes they run $300, though, and I'm not sure they're worth that - but when they're on sale for half that, or even pushing $200, they're certainly worth it. They're reliably, fast, compact gigabit switches.
  • Cons: Pricey when not discounted

It just works

Marvin G., Newegg
6 December 2014
  • Summary: If you have a expanding network and a few switch to switch connections consider this as an option The price is a bit on the high side when compared to two or three home grade switches.
  • Pros: Had 3 five port switch that was daisy chained as my network grew. Got this as a replacement after one of them died, and another started acting flaky. It just runs and video stream from my media server has also gotten smoother & better. However not all the ports are connected so it is nowhere at c...
  • Cons: Since the cables connect out the front cable management can be a challenge

Faster !

NJ tradesman, Amazon
25 February 2014
  • Summary: Replaced a 10x/100x switch, and worth the money for the improvement speed. Lacks any real information in leaflet. Had to go on line to find out what the minigbic port is; for optical cable feed. Plugged in and everything just took off running with no issues.

The Best switch I've owned.

RSM61, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: This switch has enough ports to keep me going for quite some time. I use it as my main switch at home. It also has a high speed optical input if your Cable company ever gets to that point.

Works great

Quayle Consulting Inc., Amazon
18 February 2014
  • Summary: Installed this alongside my other Cisco switches and had no problems. This switch is nearly identical to my older switches, including the outside dimensions -- can't rack mount anything at this installation.
