Kyle Baysinger, Amazon
19 November 2014
  • Summary: The switch that we received was faulty, we had to order another one for time reasons and then return the faulty one and we got hit with a large re-stocking fee despite the fact that the switch didn't work properly and that is why returned it. Very disappointing.

  • Summary: switch works great. I purchased this for a home lab after reviewing the 10 and 20 port SG300 switches. I purchased the 52-port because of the incredible price. In hindsight, I would have purchased a couple smaller switches, as they are fanless.

Works as advertised.

Shawn, Amazon
11 March 2014
  • Summary: We purchased this for an office of 20+ employees and alot of extra devices (printers, servers, projectors, etc) and haven't had a single problem with the unit. IT was able to setup secure/isolated zones for guests to access printers without allowing access to servers or other computers. Lightweight and quiet for any environment and highly recommended.

Its a Cisco and the price was right

Tony, Amazon
12 February 2014
  • Summary: No body ever got fired because they installed Cisco. The leader in the market. High quality. It even has a real CLI like the more expensive models. It works great in our small business environment. Just wish they had a model in this class with four gbic sfp ports. Ended up installing two to get the four ports I needed.

Don't use if you rely on LAG (Bonding) NICS

A Rawlins, Amazon
30 January 2014
  • Summary: Worked without a flaw for 1 year 2 months. Now it just keeps giving me problems and freezing. My single NIC connections work fine while my LAG (Bond) NICs go down. Rather frustrating.

Sounds like a Boeing 747 on full takeoff thrust ! (OK I'm exaggerating.)

  • Summary: Seller shipped promptly and was well packed. This switch is working just fine, however it sounds like a Boeing 747 on full takeoff thrust! (OK I'm exaggerating). I wish they would've made this switch in a 2U design, that way they can accommodate a larger and quieter fan.

Nice quick 10/100/1000 Layer 2/3 Switch

David Dette, Amazon
9 July 2013
  • Summary: I had to download and install a firmware update before I could use the admin configuration web pages to change this from a layer 2 to a layer 3 switch. If you don't want to update the firmware, you'll have to use the CLI to change it to layer 3 switch. Installed without any problems and has been working great.
