Filet mignon at a hamburger price, but not for the amateur.

redoherty, Ebay
13 July 2013
  • Summary: This inexpensive managed switch is a gem; it does more or less the same things as its more expensive brethren in the illustrious cisco family, but it is fanless. All I had to do was upgrade the firmware (free from cisco) and configure it with VLANS, a few ALCs and a management address.

Razer, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: I have purchased 10-15 of these so far and they have worked perfectly every time. I am using these for IP security cameras and they fit what I needed perfectly. The managed interface is nice to see whats going on if I have a camera go offline I can remotely power cycle the camera and such saving me...

Good integration with IP Phone System

T. K. Wilkins, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: I bought this switch primarily for its PoE capability. It powers the IP phones in place of bulky transformers and makes an IP phone system installation very clean. This is the third Cisco PoE switch I've purchased for my customer's phone systems, and all 3 have been trouble free and easy to install.

Working great and POE is fantastic!

M. Davis, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: Using this switch with 4 POE access points and 4 that are not POE. I like it so much, I wish I had purchased model with more ports. Web GUI makes it easy to manage. NOTE: there is no DHCP server on this unit. Speeds are more than enough for the 10 megabit internet connection from the cable company.

Works very well with Cisco VoIP system

Greg Broiles, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: Purchased for use with Cisco SPA 500-series IP phones + UC320. They work together very nicely with minimal effort needed to configure the switch - the auto-discovery set up a separate VLAN for voice, the phones and UC320 just work without drama.

Good, but has an unfixed bug

Carlos Alvarez, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: These switches are good except for one big problem that affected one of our installations. Cisco acknowledged the bug, but won't work on it any further without us doing a bunch more work on their behalf. We decided that we'll just use another brand of switches.

Works As Advertised

Ray Stewart, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: I use this switch to run a multichannel POE HD camera setup with a PC. The initial setup with this switch took longer than I'd like to admit, but this is something that I see with just about every piece of network equipment from routers to cameras the first time they get hooked up.

Old Reliable

Todd Doty, Amazon
14 August 2011
  • Summary: I work for a telephone company that installs SIP telephones and this is my go to line is switches. I use the 24 port more often but they have both proven to be ultra reliable and a cinch to configure.
