Summary: I've had this router for exactly 4 years. It has served me well, although I haven't even yet exercised the full power of the VPN and filtering capabilities of the unit. If it didn't have the following quirk I would give it 5 stars.
Summary: Never have I bought anything with the CISCO brand that was such a complete failure. This item (we installed about 15 of them in 4 cities) failed in EVERY location and we have removed them ALL. I would love to have a time machine and go back and have a re-dux!!
Summary: I have run my own IT business for over 9 years now, and been in IT for 20. This router is perhaps the biggest piece of garbage I've ever used. It is riddled with flaws and oddities. I spent 10 hours yesterday trouble shooting why the stupid thing wouldn't obey ANY QOS settings.
Summary: Fast and easy to set up. Only non-wireless one I could find that could handle comcast 100Mbps+ speeds. I get 119Mbps on it, the same as if I was connected right into comcast. Turn off IPS if you want speed. I could not get more than 20Mbps with it on.
Summary: I have used the Cisco RVS4000 on my network about 3 years now and still going great. It rates a 5 star but I do not love material things. I have a WHS v1 and 4 other client computers and I DO NOT forget to make a backup. The WHS handles that each and every day.
