Summary: This router replaced a G router I had. Set up easy. The router "found" all my equipment no problem at all. I didn't have any of the problems I read about in other reviews. As I didn't have to use tech support I didn't rate it. I'm totally pleased with the 3000.
Summary: First, I'm clueless about technology and needed to set up a new modem and wireless router. We'd just bought a new LG tv for the bedroom and I got the USB wireless dongle made for the TV so we could watch netflix.
Summary: I put off upgrading my old Linksys B/G router for many years for two reasons: 1) The don't fix if not broken theory, and 2) All the bad reviews you read about pretty much ANY router, and the general malaise that Windows networking has always seemed to be to me. Well, I shouldn't have.
Summary: E3000 is definitely the best wireless router for home networking needs and connect multiple devices to internet and create a wireless home. In last 7 minths I have tested several aspects of this router and no wonder it is still at almost same price and a top-seller.
Summary: I bought this product with great trepidation because I saw wildly varying reviews. Being averse to dealing with tech support I had armed myself with a document I had created listing all the issues and the possible solutions to them. Ultimately I needed NONE of them.
Summary: I've installed two of these routers now, and find that they both work very well. I am also using USB attached storage to convert these routers into Network Attached Storage units. Connecting and configuring disk drives was very straightforward with the web interface.
E3000 Cisco Connect & Advanced Settings Is Possible
Amazon Customer, Amazon
23 December 2010
Summary: I have only been using the E3000 for about 24 hours now, but I felt it was necessary to post to explain about all the "issues" using the Cisco Connect software and the advanced Web interface at the same time. Simply put, it is possible. Simple google queries gained me the information I needed.
5-star product! Utter "Hell" (1-star, if none at all) for set-up!

Summary: 5-star product! Utter "Hell" (1-star, if none at all) for set-up! Folks, I hope you have better luck with your set-up - and I hope my experience was an anomaly! My Provider: Comcast (Harris County, TX) - very good service and signal strength for my area.
Summary: Easy setup. It is nice to have a wireless HP OfficeJet on the network. Using Cisco Network Magic Pro to allow wired and wireless devices-iPhone, iTouch, laptops, workstation, printers, USB external hard drive. Nice to set control of shared files.
