Overheats in an hour, save your money and buy a different brand!
15 October 2012
Summary: Have used linksys products for a very long time, so when I saw this router listed, I did not hesitate to buy it. After trying it out for an hour or so, the router would overheat and shut off. I looked online and realized this E2000 router has a lot of bad reviews. Just search on google for the terms "E2000 linksys heat" and thousands of hits pop up. The router itself has no heatsinks or fans in it, so heat will build up in it.

Pros: it works fine with laptops but my old router worked better
Cons: You have to use the software to connect other computers and devices.. unlike my old router where they would only search for its signal and ask for a password and boom had internet but now i have to get on a computer and add them manually.
"short life, cisco finds ways not to honor warranty!"
3 February 2011
Pros: got to work quickly (yes that's it)
Cons: expensive. The product lasted only 3 1/2 months until the wireless signal became intermittent and died for good. Called CISCO and they wanted $29.99 to verify if the product really had a defect! in others words, they don't honor the warranty.
