There is a CLI back-door on these switches

Jeffrey G., Newegg
16 September 2007
  • Summary: There actually is a back door allowing you to interact with these devices in the familiar IOS way. Just append "/exec" onto the URL in your browser, log in as you normally would, and you get a menu with a load of IOS top-level commands.
  • Pros: + Price + Reliability + Fully manageable + Two 1000TX ports + A real IOS device despite appearances
  • Cons: - "Official" web interface frankly sucks - Probably not configurable for AAA with TACACS+ / RADIUS
