Great switch for cost.

Christopher A Thornton, Amazon
23 January 2013
  • Summary: I picked up this switch at about the same cost as an older 3560. The switch had a fairly recent IOS and I was able to plug it in and start using it right away. There were no configurations on the switch so I did not have to erase it or crack a password.

Great for Home Lab

Jason Miller, Amazon
17 January 2013
  • Summary: This is great for creating a home lab, while more expensive than 3550's, the 3750's have many features that are not supported by the 3550. You will then be able to assign an IP to that interfa...
  • Cons: No cons.

The Beast

Anonymous, Newegg
25 August 2007
  • Summary: Typical Cisco high-end product, tour de force performance with amazing configuration complexity. If you're doing iSCSI, VOIP and/or EtherChannel servers, you need this kind of performance, otherwise, you don't.
  • Pros: Full streaming bidirectional gigabit on all ports simultaneously. Features Layer 3 features, multicast, can be your DHCP server, VLAN, Fibre for long runs, you name it.
  • Cons: You only get 90 days of TAC (Cisco Tech Support) when you buy it- and you'll need tech support to get the use of most of the advanced features of this switch. Don't think you'll play with it and figure it out- unless your users enjoy the downtime. Web-based setup with junk up your config with VOI...
